Dear Boys and Girls,
Congratulations, you are officially a Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Plaster and I will be your teacher this year. I can't wait for the new school year to begin so we can finally meet! We are going to have a fantastic year where we'll learn many things and have lots of fun. My goal this year is to have you become more independent and reflective problem-solvers. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Prince William County. I graduated from Potomac High School and earned my education degree at George Mason University. My family, my husband and my two daughters, love to go to Myrtle Beach every summer! In Kindergarten we will be reading and writing all the time! You'll be amazed at how much better you read and write at the end of the year. It's always exciting for me to see how you've blossomed over the course of the year. I love being a Kindergarten teacher for this very reason. It's a year of tremendous growth! Plus, during Kindergarten you'll lose some of your teeth and watch them grow right back. I think that is the coolest part of being a kid. I look forward to getting to know you and your family better in the coming year. Again, I'm thrilled to have you in my class and feel lucky to be your teacher. It's going to be a fabulous and very memorable year! See you soon! Mrs. Plaster | |
